Co-development of 'Mobilit.E.S', a Mobility Location Service that Turns 'Movement' into an Attraction

Ashibi Company Co., Ltd. has collaborated in the development of "Mobilit.E.S," a mobility-oriented location service developed by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Motofumi Shitara) that "turns every place into a theme park." By linking smartphone apps with audio content, external lighting equipment, projectors, and digital signage, the service ensures that the act of moving itself becomes an attraction. It has been implemented in Okushiri Island, Hokkaido since April, and the offering will continue to expand to contribute to promoting regional appeal and revitalizing tourism.

Based on the concept of "making movement more fun and more educational," "Mobilit.E.S" has undergone repeated demonstration experiments in various locations such as Okinawa and Oita prefectures. Starting in April 2026, the service will be provided on a full scale to local governments and tourism stakeholders.

This service combines mobility with a dedicated app, interacting with content such as audio guides, projection mapping, and signage videos dotted around a designated area. When tourists move around the area with a device set up with the web app, the system triggers audio guides introducing nearby tourist attractions and recommended spots, or activates visual effects like projection mapping as they approach.

It is also possible to change the presentation content depending on the season, time, weather, or the number of times and routes taken to approach a designated spot. This not only allows for altering the promoted locations based on seasonality and weather, but also encourages tourists to wander and explore by offering different content to enjoy at the same location each time.
