Arcstella Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Junichiro Kazama) announced on April 7, 2026, the release of v1.4, the latest update for "Retro Game Gather (RGG)", a collection management and play record service specializing in retro games.
RGG is a web service (PWA) that allows one-stop management of owned games, progress statuses such as "in play" and "completed," and even purchase consideration via a wish list. Users can easily create their own library by searching a database of over 20,000 domestic games.

[3 Major Evolutions in v1.4 Update]
This update includes a **play record analysis function** that allows users to understand "when, what, and how they played" based on their play logs, an **expansion of library bulk registration methods** including title text, files, and tag specification, and **enhancement of premium features** enabling multiple ownership of the same game and chronological records of console maintenance.
1. Visualize Your Play with a Glance. Play Record Analysis Visualizes Your Gaming
Based on the games added to your play records, you can understand various aspects such as play, games, and ratings through tables and graphs.
It also supports drill-down from tables and graphs to specific titles, helping you look back at when, what, and how you played, and grasp trends in clearing your backlog.
2. Dramatically Easier Registration! Significantly Expanded "Library Bulk Registration"
In addition to free text registration where Japanese titles are pasted line by line, it now supports file-based title specification uploads.
For premium members, bulk tag registration is also available, allowing multiple games to be registered by specifying tags. During confirmation, the match rate for each title is displayed, making it easier to verify during import.
3. Record Multiple Copies of the Same Title and Console Maintenance. Premium Features Enhanced
We have added "owned software" for each game in the library, allowing different versions of the same title with different statuses to be managed as separate possessions.
This allows multiple software copies, which previously could only be distinguished by notes, to be structurally recorded. The activated software among owned copies is displayed in the library information.
Maintenance records can now be kept for each registered game console.
In addition to work details, it also supports tracking scheduled work dates and statuses as simple tasks. Records are reflected in the calendar, allowing you to see what to do next at a glance along with your scheduled calendar.
[Other Notable Additional/Improved Features]
Android App Available on Google Play Store
RGG's Android app (TWA format) has been released on the Google Play Store. It can be installed from the store and used with the same usability as adding a PWA to the home screen.

Addition of Supported Platforms
The following supported platforms have been newly added:
They can be used by adding them from the platform settings.
・ PC-FX
・ Virtual Boy
・ NEOGEO Pocket
Genre Expansion with Support Genres
In addition to the conventional broad genre categories, support genres (sub-genres, series, licenses) have been set for each game.
The search UI has also been improved, making it easier to narrow down by work lineage and theme.
To reflect this feature, "Rebuild Game DB" from the cache settings is required. Data will be expanded sequentially.
Addition of Local Bookmarks
Local bookmarks, which temporarily hold games in the browser, have been added from game details and list operations.
You can quickly save titles you want to revisit later and immediately return to the relevant games from the bookmark list. Since they are not saved to the cloud, sharing across devices is not possible, but they can be used as a convenient way to remember something that caught your eye.
Add Cover Images to My Collection and Game Consoles
Cover images can now be set for My Collection and game console lists/details.
This allows for visual representation of your collections and consoles, improving the clarity of the lists. Users who prefer a simpler display can always revert to the traditional UI in user settings.
[Database Now Supports Support Genres!]
RGG continues to improve its domestic game data daily after its release. From v1.4, support genres such as "sub-genres, series, and licenses," which further subdivide genres, can now be displayed.
Members who joined before v1.4 can try "Rebuild Game DB" from the cache settings to use a database that supports abbreviations and related wikis.
[Completion of v1 Roadmap and Future (v2)]
With v1.4, Retro Game Gather has completed the implementation of the main features originally planned for the v1 series.
Going forward, a new v2 development line will be launched, centered on expanding the game database, and development will proceed with the aim of further enhancing features.
Even in the v1 series, while major feature additions like those carried out so far will decrease, we will continue to improve existing functions and enhance quality in v1.5 and beyond.
