●New Elements of 'Utawarerumono: Monochro no Michishirube' Game System Revealed!

On the official website's "System" page, information on new elements of the game system has been released. "Symbol Encounter", "Uma (Woputal)", and "Fast Travel" have been further improved for convenience compared to the previous title.

○Symbol Encounter

Monsters (Kemono) roam the field, and contact with them initiates combat.

In the previous title, combat could be started in a favorable state for your army by successfully landing a field attack, but in this title, simply making contact from behind a monster allows you to start combat in a favorable state for your army.

○Uma (Woputal)

By riding an Uma (Woputal), you can move across the field at a faster speed. Furthermore, in this title, if conditions are met, it is now possible to simply trample monsters.

○Fast Travel

In the previous title, fast travel was possible by touching "Shrines of Remembrance" scattered across various locations, but in this title, fast travel is possible from any location.

You can instantly move to any visited location, even while exploring vast fields or deep within dungeons.

○Area Domination System

This is one of the new elements added to this title.

The field is divided into several areas, and domination is completed by defeating a specified number of monsters. In some fields, powerful enemies called "Area Lords" appear, and defeating them completes the domination.

Within a dominated field, all enemy symbols can be eliminated without engaging in combat by simply slashing them.

From eliminated enemy symbols, you can obtain all experience points, gold, and dropped items that would be gained from actual combat, allowing for efficient leveling up and material gathering.

○Renkan

The "diagram representing action order" displayed in the upper left of the screen during combat is called "Renkan". Characters move clockwise on the triple ring, and when they reach a designated spot, they can act.

The speed of movement on the ring is determined by the character's "Agility", and the inner the ring, the shorter the distance of one lap, meaning the interval until the next action turn comes around is faster.

Moving inward is possible by causing enemies to "lose fighting spirit" or by using the special command "Renkan Ascent" available during spirit liberation.

○Haru

Haru can be summoned by consuming EP.

When summoned, Haru fights alone in place of party members.

On the screen, a shield representing health and EP required for actions are displayed. Haru possesses high combat power, and even if the shield reaches 0 and is destroyed, it does not result in defeat.

However, once destroyed, it enters an ECCS (cooling down) state, and cannot be summoned again until the shield is fully recovered.

Haru levels up by providing materials at the "Yorozuya" in the Imperial Capital.

Not only do its abilities increase, but new combat techniques may also be acquired, or existing ones enhanced.
