Our company endorses April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day for announcing dreams. This press release is the dream of "Appkey LLC."
Appkey LLC (Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Junnosuke Nakamura) participates in April Dream on April 1, 2026, and announces its dream of approaching 65, and in the AI era, without using age or field as an excuse, to continuously bring desired projects to fruition.
From Stage, TV, IT, Publishing, to Managing a Development Company Overseas
My origin has never been to settle in a single field.
In my 20s, I was involved in stage theater, presided over a theater company, and was responsible for scripts and direction.
After that, I worked in the business division of a TV station, engaging in large-scale performances and event management.
Furthermore, I entered the world of IT and publishing, gaining experience as an editor-in-chief and in production work.
About 15 years ago, I established a development base in Indonesia, founded a web system and application development company, which I continue to operate today.
As a development partner for Japanese companies, I have been involved for many years in the development of ride-hailing apps, logistics systems, and large-scale matching platforms.
15 Years as a Business Owner, and the 'Craftsman' Remaining in My Heart
For about 15 years, I have led many projects as the manager of a development company.
Blessed with excellent engineers, wonderful systems are built.
That is a great joy as a business owner.
However, deep down, there was always a feeling that I wanted to refine the details with my own hands and polish them until I was satisfied.
Stage direction, publishing editing, project production.
Looking back, I have always maintained the feeling of being on the 'front lines,' involved in the final details with my own hands.
As I became a business owner and the organization grew, my work gradually shifted from 'creating things myself' to 'giving instructions.'
Yet, somewhere,
the feeling of "I want to do it with my own hands"
persisted.
The Long-Standing Wall of 'Not Being Able to Reach the End Myself'
Until now, I had clear limitations within myself.
I could come up with plans.
I had countless things I wanted to do.
However, when it came to fine-tuning and the final stages, I couldn't reach it with my own hands.
I could give instructions, but I couldn't fix it myself.
That frustration was always there.
I really wanted to change this a little.
I wanted to refine it a bit more.
But as long as I couldn't touch it myself, I had no choice but to compromise somewhere.
Even after operating a development company for many years, this wall was difficult to overcome.
Vibe Coding Changed the Premise
What significantly changed that premise was "Vibe Coding."
With this, the limitation I had within myself,
"I can plan, but I can't reach the final form myself,"
changed significantly.
Instead of just planning and ending,
I can create,
fix,
refine,
and release.
I can carry out the entire process myself, end-to-end.
This was a complete game-changer for me.
Actually Released Two AI Products in About 3 Weeks
This is not just a feeling.
I actually developed and released two AI products, equivalent to several person-months of AI app development, from planning to app store release, by myself as a non-engineer, utilizing AI development tools, in about three weeks.
This is not just about development speed.
Planning → Development → Revision → Release
The ability to complete this entire flow myself has great significance.
Therefore, Restarting with a Japanese Corporation as the Base
Therefore, in November 2025, I personally established Appkey LLC as a Japanese corporation, with the intention of returning to my roots.
The overseas development base and local corporate business established about 15 years ago are still ongoing.
Leveraging that foundation, I plan to travel between overseas and Japan, and as a Japanese corporation, move forward and promote manufacturing.
And I want to gather new colleagues in Japan and make a fresh start.
No Category Restrictions. Do Everything I Want to Create
So, what will I do?
The answer is,
to give form to everything I want to create, regardless of category.
It could be a rigid area like auditing or systems.
It could be a business application that helps the front lines.
It could be a small AI app for individuals.
It could be an entertainment-oriented project.
Following the already released contract checking AI and expense verification AI, in 2026, we plan to continuously release AI-powered applications and web systems in multiple areas such as welfare, legal affairs, business support, and entertainment.
What's important is not to choose a market that is commercially viable from the start.
It's about creating something that helps someone, something I genuinely want to make, using the methods available now.
Things that would have stopped midway before can now be completed.
Vibe Coding has significantly changed that.
I Hope This Challenge Becomes a Small Spark for My Generation
This challenge is a corporate challenge, and at the same time,
I hope it reaches those of my generation who have aged similarly and have fewer opportunities to move forward with the same vigor as before, as a small spark.
The AI era is not just for young people.
At least, that's how I felt.
Even in the latter half of life,
I can return to being a creator again.
I can go beyond just planning and bring things to fruition.
The fact that I gained this feeling myself has great significance.
Appkey LLC's April Dream
Our dream is to
demonstrate through our own practice that in the AI era, without using age, title, or field as an excuse, we can continuously bring desired projects to fruition.
And we hope this challenge will reach our peers who are feeling a little down,
before words,
as a small source of vitality that makes them think,
"Maybe I can still do it."
Not retirement, but restart.
Not observation, but creation.
Not defense, but challenge.
That is Appkey LLC's April Dream.
