Anritsu and NetOne Partners Launch 'PureFlow DDoS Control Function License' to Support Multi-Layered Defense at Enterprise Edges Against Growing and Sophisticated DDoS Attacks

Anritsu Corporation (President: Koichi Hamada, hereinafter 'Anritsu') and NetOne Partners Co., Ltd. (Representative Director, President & COO: Masaki Ko mine, hereinafter 'NetOne Partners') announce the launch of the 'DDoS Control Function License' as a new optional feature for the high-precision bandwidth control device 'PureFlow AS Series', designed to support DDoS attack countermeasures.

In recent years, the widespread adoption of cloud services and internet connectivity has made service outages and increased network device loads due to DDoS attacks a major concern. In particular, carpet-bombing DDoS attacks—where small volumes of traffic are distributed across multiple sources and destinations—are difficult to detect using conventional methods, increasing the risk of malicious traffic slipping through.

This new function leverages PureFlow's proven high-precision traffic detection and bandwidth control technologies to detect and control DDoS traffic at the edge of enterprise networks. By integrating with existing security measures such as carrier services, firewalls, and WAFs, it reduces the load on targeted servers and network devices, supporting the stable operation of critical services.

The license will be offered by NetOne Partners as the sole domestic distributor for Anritsu's PureFlow AS Series. The two companies have previously collaborated on PureFlow products, and through this new function, they aim to further strengthen cybersecurity measures for enterprise networks.

Main Features of the 'DDoS Control Function'

- Response to increasingly sophisticated DDoS attacks

Leveraging PureFlow's high-precision bandwidth control technology, this function supports countermeasures against volume-based DDoS attacks that are widely distributed. It detects attack traffic that may be missed by traditional methods, contributing to the stable operation of critical services.

- Complementing existing security measures at the enterprise edge

By deploying PureFlow at the network edge, it complements existing security solutions such as carrier services, firewalls, and WAFs. This reduces the load on targeted servers and downstream security devices, enhancing multi-layered defense.

- Flexible control unique to bandwidth control devices

The system performs appropriate traffic control based on the nature of the attack, minimizing impact on the network. Rather than blocking all traffic indiscriminately, it applies flexible countermeasures using PureFlow's bandwidth control technology to support stable network operations.

- Operational support through traffic visualization

Integration with the optional 'PureFlow Profiler (Monitoring Manager 3)' enables visualization of DDoS attack occurrences and traffic fluctuations. This supports rapid situation assessment and post-attack analysis and countermeasure planning.
