Anritsu Corporation will begin sales of the "AH15203A," a 140Gbaud wideband linear amplifier with a built-in bias tee, on May 29, which is necessary for evaluating optical transmission devices in the era of over 1 terabit communication speeds. The newly developed product features a wide frequency characteristic from 200kHz to 125GHz in the -6dB band and can amplify PAM4 signals up to 140Gbaud to 2.0Vpp. It achieves a high gain characteristic of +15.0dB and a low jitter characteristic of 300fs, allowing it to faithfully amplify and output high-quality signal waveforms attenuated in the transmission path. The AH15203A can amplify 140Gbaud PAM4 signals from signal sources such as DSPs and can directly drive devices such as modulators that require high amplitude and offset. Therefore, it is suitable as an amplifier for evaluating optical modulators in 800GbE and 1.6TbE digital coherent systems, which are attracting attention as next-generation transmission methods, as well as the IM-DD systems widely used in optical communication. Through the provision of this product, Anritsu will contribute to the spread and smooth operation of high-speed data centers and network equipment.
