Another works Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Naoasa Obayashi; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which operates "Fukugyo Cloud," a side-job matching platform connecting individuals seeking side jobs with companies and local governments, is pleased to announce the commencement of a collaboration with RePlayce Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Masahiro Yamamoto; hereinafter referred to as "RePlayce"), which develops career education programs for junior and senior high school students, and the Private Sector Human Resource Education Participation Promotion Organization (Representative Director: Tatsuya Hotta; hereinafter referred to as "PPTP"). This collaboration aims to promote the creation of new educators in the field of education through side jobs.

Background of the Collaboration

In recent years, due to the progress of the declining birthrate and aging population, the fluidity of the labor market, and the rapid advancement of technologies such as generative AI, the abilities required in society and the nature of career development have changed significantly. Against the backdrop of these societal structural changes, school education is also required to break away from traditional knowledge-transfer education and shift to "inquiry-based learning" centered on problem discovery and problem solving.

As symbolized by the "Proactive, Interactive, and Deep Learning" and "Integrated Inquiry Time" promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the importance of "inquiry skills" and "cross-border learning" — the ability to confront open-ended questions, think from multiple perspectives, and create new value through collaboration with others — is increasing in the future educational setting. To achieve this, it is pointed out that it is indispensable to connect diverse specialized knowledge and practical knowledge from outside the school to the educational setting.

On the other hand, in educational settings, complex and structural issues are becoming apparent, such as "long working hours for teachers and shortage of human resources," "lack of opportunities to connect with external personnel with specialized skills," "undeveloped human resource base for inquiry learning and career education," and "lack of institutional design to ensure educational safety and learning quality." Furthermore, while expectations for private sector personnel to participate in education are increasing, there are still many cases where operations rely on individual efforts in terms of "visualization of educational facilitation skills," "alleviating concerns of schools regarding acceptance," "continuous and stable supply of human resources," and "reproducibility and quality assurance of learning outcomes."

Against this background, the Company will collaborate with RePlayce, which develops career education programs for junior and senior high school students, and PPTP, which promotes research on training and certification systems and educational programs for private sector professionals participating in the education sector, to promote the creation of new educators in the field of education through side jobs.

Content and Outlook of the Collaboration

This collaboration aims to create a new co-creation model in educational settings by combining RePlayce's practical knowledge in career education and inquiry learning for junior and senior high school students, PPTP's specialized knowledge regarding educational training and certification systems, and Another works' side-job human resource network and matching know-how for private sector professionals.

In particular, by returning practical knowledge, expertise, and cross-border experience cultivated in the private sector to educational settings, we will foster students' curiosity and career ownership, and promote the formation of a sustainable human resource base that supports inquiry learning and career education.

As the first initiative of this collaboration, a joint event will be held on the themes of "Possibilities for Private Sector Personnel to Play an Active Role in Educational Settings" and "The First Step to Starting a Side Job in the Education Sector." On the day, Masahiro Yamamoto, Representative Director of RePlayce Co., Ltd., Yoshihiro Kaneko, Director and Professor of the Education Incubation Center at Tokyo Gakugei University, and Eiko Kuroda, Brand Manager of Another works Co., Ltd., will speak about the current situation and changes surrounding educational settings, mechanisms for private sector personnel to get involved in education, and realistic perspectives required in the field.

Comments from Each Representative

RePlayce Co., Ltd. Representative Director Masahiro Yamamoto

Until now, we have strongly felt that the "quality of adults involved" significantly influences children's growth in inquiry-based learning settings. However, even if motivated private sector personnel wish to be involved in education, the opportunities and mechanisms are not yet sufficiently developed. Through this collaboration, by designing the entire process from training to certification and on-site participation, we believe it will be possible to connect individuals' aspirations to actual value provision. By expanding new options for involvement in education, we will deliver high-quality learning to more children.

Private Sector Human Resource Education Participation Promotion Organization Representative Director Tatsuya Hotta

To expand the participation of private sector personnel in education, it is essential to not only provide opportunities but also to ensure quality and establish social trust. This system clarifies the standards for accompanying inquiry-based learning and visualizes them through certification. Furthermore, through this collaboration, by connecting recruitment, training, certification, and on-site participation without fragmentation, human resources will circulate sustainably.
