Tsurugi Town, Tokushima Prefecture Launches 'Regional Revitalization Cooperation Squad DAO' to Solve Local Issues and Create Relationship Populations

Tsurugi Town, Tokushima Prefecture, and Alyawmu Inc. (Headquarters: Sapporo, CEO: Hiroaki Hatanaka), a company specializing in regional revitalization using DAOs and NFTs, will launch the 'Regional Revitalization Cooperation Squad DAO' in June 2026. This initiative combines the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Squad system with a digital community (DAO) to revitalize the region, aiming to solve local issues and create a 'relationship population' through collaboration between local residents and DAO participants.

Appointee: Sota
During university, Sota focused on video production, including planning, filming, and editing short SNS videos. He was also part of a team that promoted the charm of Shiga Prefecture through 'short dramas.' Through these activities, he realized the importance of conveying not just information, but the emotions of the people involved and the atmosphere of the site. He aims to use this experience to share the charm of Tsurugi Town with many people.

Sota, Tsurugi Town Regional Revitalization Cooperation Squad
I am joining the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Squad DAO as a new graduate. Although I am from Kagawa Prefecture and this is my first time working in Tsurugi Town, I feel a sense of familiarity. I feel a strong sense of responsibility and excitement to apply my knowledge of video, SNS, and digital tools to a region in Shikoku that I feel close to. I want to work with the residents to create new connections using my youthful energy and ideas.

To address this, we are partnering with Alyawmu Inc. to create a new mechanism using the Regional Revitalization Cooperation Squad DAO. A Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) is a digital community where participants gather from all over the country via the internet. Participants are not just fans but active members who can participate in planning and decision-making on an equal footing.
2. Benefits of a DAO
Introducing a DAO creates a mechanism for people outside the municipality to actively participate in solving local issues. Fresh perspectives and knowledge react with the passion of local residents to create innovative solutions.
3. Budget
Implemented within the scope of the 'Special Local Allocation Tax (10/10).' We provide a one-stop service for recruiting, supporting, and providing digital technology to reduce the burden on municipal staff.
