As a comprehensive trading company specializing in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, reagents, and chemical raw materials, Meisho operates under the philosophy of "contributing to the health and happiness of local communities through its business." The company promotes regional healthcare in the Hokuriku region by emphasizing harmony, collaboration, and communication, ensuring stable pharmaceutical supply, providing information on infection control and disease prevention, and establishing stockpiling and supply systems in preparation for disasters. In Fukui Prefecture, Meisho operates through its Fukui and Tsuruga branch offices, maintaining close ties with the local community.
Echizen City, guided by its "Echizen City Health Promotion Plan – Promoting Healthy Longevity to Support a Happy 100-Year Life" (Reference 2), aims to extend healthy life expectancy by encouraging residents to actively and naturally adopt healthy lifestyles. The city is advancing initiatives such as "Lifestyle Disease Prevention" and "Mental and Physical Health Promotion Across Life Stages." Additionally, to protect citizens' lives and property from disasters, Echizen City has established the "Echizen City Regional Disaster Prevention Plan" (Reference 3) and conducts various disaster prevention activities.
Under this comprehensive collaboration agreement, Meisho and Echizen City will closely cooperate and jointly implement activities in areas such as health promotion, prevention of lifestyle diseases and cancer, infection control, dementia prevention, and the stockpiling and supply of pharmaceuticals and hygiene products during disasters. These efforts will promote public health and strengthen disaster preparedness in Echizen City, contributing to the safety and security of its residents.

2. Overview of the Agreement
(1) Signing Date: June 15, 2026
(2) Signatories: Echizen City, Meisho Co., Ltd.
(3) Agreement Period: From June 15, 2026, to March 31, 2028
Note: Unless either party notifies termination, the agreement will automatically renew for one year starting April 1, 2028, with subsequent renewals under the same conditions.
