TOKYO, JAPAN – April 2, 2026 – Actio Corporation (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Nihonbashi, Tokyo; President & COO: Naoto Onuma), a comprehensive construction machinery rental company, announced today that it will begin handling the "ZX55U-6EB", a compact rear-swing, battery-powered excavator manufactured by Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., starting April 2, 2026. This model is a zero-emission compliant machine featuring an electric drive system that produces no exhaust gases, and is expected to be widely utilized at next-generation construction sites where reducing environmental impact is paramount.

The "ZX55U-6EB" is an electric excavator equipped with a 30kW electric motor and a 39.4kWh lithium-ion battery, realizing quiet operation with significantly reduced noise levels. By suppressing noise and exhaust gas emissions, it minimizes the impact on the surrounding environment and provides a comfortable construction environment for workers. Furthermore, its compact rear-swing structure enables safe and efficient work even in confined spaces.

It adopts a 2WAY drive system that supports both external AC power supply and battery power. This allows for operation using battery power and AC power, with the ability to charge the battery simultaneously during operation, enabling continuous work. The cabin (operator's seat) comes standard with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable working environment. An auxiliary monitor for checking cable status at the rear is installed inside the cabin to support safe rearward operation. Additionally, the quiet operation of the electric drive reduces stress during work, while an LED work light installed at the rear of the cabin alerts those nearby that work is in progress. The "ZX55U-6EB" supports next-generation construction sites as an electric excavator that balances environmental consideration with practicality by improving operator operability and reducing burden.

This product has already commenced operation at the Honmyo River Dam construction project in Isahaya City, Nagasaki Prefecture, which is being carried out by Taisei Corporation (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshio Aikawa).

Actio will continue to leverage its "Rensulting" expertise to provide products and services that simultaneously achieve CO2 reduction and productivity improvement.
