airlabo Inc. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director: Keita Tokuyama; hereinafter referred to as airlabo) has announced the "Field DX Platform Concept" with the aim of realizing a "platform that connects all information in the field."
In the field, a large amount of information such as paper forms, photos, drawings, and location data is managed individually, leading to many inefficient operations due to the lack of integration between them.
airlabo aims to connect this information through AI and digital technology, creating an environment where field workers can concentrate on their core tasks.
As the first service, we are deploying the AI form digitization service "paper-base," and as the second, we are developing the location information and photo sharing service "PINTO."
In the future, we will sequentially deploy a suite of services that support everything from input to sharing, analysis, and utilization by integrating all information handled in the field, such as AI, forms, location data, photos, and drawings, on a single platform.
We are now recruiting partners for the demonstration experiment of "PINTO," our second service.
PINTO
Field DX is not about "eliminating paper."
While digitalization is progressing in many fields such as construction, facility management, building maintenance, infrastructure maintenance, and manufacturing, paper and photos still play important roles in actual operations.
Inspection reports and daily work logs are submitted on paper, photos are taken with smartphones or cameras, and drawings are managed as PDFs or on paper.
As a result, the following issues occur daily in the field:
- Photos exist, but it's unclear where they were taken. - Information from paper documents is repeatedly transcribed into Excel. - Only the person in charge understands the situation. - Information is scattered across multiple locations such as Excel, PDF, email, and chat.
airlabo believes that the essence of field DX is not to "eliminate paper," but to "eliminate information fragmentation."
Field DX Platform Concept
airlabo's goal is not to solve everything with a single service.
Instead, we aim to build a platform that optimizes various information generated in the field according to roles and ensures seamless integration between them.
For example:
- AI reads paper forms and digitizes necessary information. - Photos are automatically organized on drawings or maps. - The field and the office share information in real-time. - Accumulated data is analyzed by AI and used for operational improvements.
We aim to support the entire process from "input" and "sharing" to "analysis" and "utilization" as a single workflow.
First Service: "paper-base"
Our first service, "paper-base," uses AI to extract necessary information from paper forms and photo-attached reports and convert it into structured data.
Paper culture will not disappear immediately in the field.
Therefore, we are developing it with the concept of "eliminating transcription work that occurs after filling out paper," rather than "eliminating paper."
AI assists in extracting items and organizing information specific to each form, which is difficult with OCR alone, thereby improving the efficiency of field operations.
Second Service: "PINTO"
PINTO is a web service that allows users to share field information by placing photos and comments on drawings or maps, along with location data.
In facility inspections, maintenance, and construction sites, many issues exist, such as:
- "Where was this photo taken?" - "What was the status of the previous inspection?" - "The field is incomprehensible when the person in charge changes."
PINTO aims to create an environment where anyone can intuitively grasp the field situation by managing photos, location information, comments, and history on a single screen.
In the future, through integration with paper-base, we will link form data read by AI with field photos and location information to achieve more advanced field management.

Demonstration Experiment Partner Recruitment
airlabo is currently recruiting companies, municipalities, and organizations to cooperate in demonstration experiments to refine PINTO in actual field environments.
[Target Industries]
- Construction - Facility Management - Building Maintenance - Manufacturing - Factory Maintenance - Infrastructure Maintenance - Municipalities - Other companies and organizations that utilize location information in their operations.
We will repeatedly improve the service based on hearing about actual operational methods, developing it into a service that is truly useful in the field.
Message from the Representative
There is still a lot of "waste" remaining in the field.
Even with the advancement of AI, paper is used in the field, photos are taken, and people make judgments based on experience.
Therefore, we believe that "connecting information" is important, rather than "eliminating paper."
To create an environment where field workers can concentrate on their core work, rather than spending time on transcription and information searching.
This is the field DX that airlabo aims for.
We will continue to develop services that support field operations while incorporating feedback from the field.
Future Outlook
We aim to release the beta version of PINTO and provide integration features with paper-base by fiscal year 2026.
Furthermore, based on the knowledge gained through demonstration experiments, we plan to expand our services to municipalities, infrastructure operators, and manufacturing industries.
airlabo will continue to sequentially deploy services that support field operations by combining AI, location information, image analysis, and more, under the "Field DX Platform Concept."
Our goal is not just operational efficiency, but to transform the information generated in the field into valuable assets.
This is the future we envision.
