Aillis Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Sho Okiyama; hereinafter "the Company") has been recognized for its initiative "Digitization of Pharyngeal Examinations through the Development and Dissemination of AI Medical Device 'nodoca,'" winning the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the 10th Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award. An award ceremony was held on March 25 at the Prime Minister's Official Residence (Chiyoda-ku).

The "Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award" is a national recognition program designed to preserve and advance Japanese "monodzukuri" (manufacturing/craftsmanship) that underpins the development of Japan's industry and culture. It honors individuals who play a central role in manufacturing and production sites, as well as companies that have engaged in innovative product development beyond conventional frameworks. The Company was highly recognized for developing a system that uses AI to diagnose infectious diseases from throat images and clinical information without requiring specimen collection, for delivering this system broadly to society, and for establishing a "new value creation through data utilization" framework in which data circulates to benefit patients and healthcare workers. Medical data used in clinical practice through the AI medical device nodoca is processed in a legally compliant and appropriate privacy-conscious data format, and will be utilized to further improve pharyngeal AI algorithms for future clinical use.

The information and medical experiences gained through this product are returned to clinical practice as a "resource" for society as a whole, improving the quality of care at medical sites and creating a cycle in which insights are passed on to the next patient. The Company will continue to promote the social implementation of advanced technologies including AI, aiming to meet evolving healthcare needs and build a sustainable medical infrastructure.
