Aillis, an AI Medical Device Company, Wins Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the 10th Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award

Aillis Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Sho Okiyama) announced that its initiative, "Datafication of Pharyngeal Examinations through the Development and Proliferation of the AI Medical Device 'nodoca,'" was recognized and awarded the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award at the 10th Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award. An award ceremony was held at the Prime Minister's Office on March 25.

The Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award is a national system that recognizes individuals core to manufacturing and production, as well as companies that have developed innovative products beyond traditional frameworks, to inherit and advance the "monodzukuri" (craftsmanship) that supports Japan's industrial and cultural development. Aillis was highly praised for developing and widely deploying a system that allows AI to diagnose infectious diseases from throat images and clinical information without needing a specimen, and for establishing a system of "creating new value through data utilization" where data circulates for the benefit of patients and healthcare professionals. Medical data used in診療 through the AI medical device nodoca is processed into a privacy-conscious data format legally and appropriately, to be used for further improvement of the pharyngeal AI algorithm and future medical care.

The information and medical experiences gained through this product create a cycle, returning to the medical field as a societal "resource" to improve the quality of care and benefit the next patient.
