The General Incorporated Association AICX (located in Tokyo, Representative Directors: Shin Oguri / Kensuke Ozawa, hereinafter "AICX Association") is pleased to announce that the number of registrations for the waiting list for the "AI Agent Strategist" qualification system, established for AI agent implementation professionals and announced on February 13, 2026, has exceeded 1,000 as of March 17, 2026.

## Background
As the corporate adoption of generative AI progresses, the need for specialized personnel to design strategies and implement AI agents is rapidly increasing. Based on feedback from its practitioner community, which includes 306 corporate members, 1,674 individual members, and 15,484 conference participants, the AICX Association established this qualification system, the first of its kind in Japan. Immediately after its announcement, registrations poured in from a wide range of industries and job categories, particularly from DX promotion managers, corporate planning, HR, and business reform managers, reaching 1,000 within approximately one month of its establishment.

## Reason for 1,000 Interests: What Companies Seek "Beyond Prompts"
While many companies are beginning to adopt generative AI, the realization that "simply writing good prompts" does not lead to organization-wide transformation is the underlying reason for this rapid increase in registrations. The AICX Association advocates for "3 Steps" to utilize AI agents to move beyond prompt dependency and transform AI utilization into organizational results.

3 Steps to Break Free from Prompt Dependency
- (Step 1) Custom AI: Specialized AI assistants such as ChatGPT's GPTs, Gemini's Gem, and Copilot's Agent functions.
- (Step 2) AI Workflow: Automatically executing workflows predefined by humans, such as automatic meeting minute generation.
- (Step 3) Autonomous AI Agent: Executing given goals without humans specifying procedures.

These AI agents can semi-automatically perform tasks based on data, without requiring instructions via prompts every time. The lack of personnel who can appropriately utilize these within their own companies and promote them within the organization is a common pain point for many businesses.

## Three Key Skills Defined by the Qualification
The "AI Agent Strategist" qualification certifies the ability to "create value with AI" while minimizing AI knowledge. The required skills are categorized into the following three areas:

- AI Agent: Understanding the characteristics of generative AI and AI agents, and designing automation suitable for business operations.
- Business Design: Formalizing tacit knowledge and restructuring workflows.
- Organizational Design: Fostering a culture of collaboration with AI and transforming evaluation systems.

The clear definition of a human resource profile that can consistently handle everything from strategy and ROI design to organizational integration, rather than just tool operation, has garnered widespread empathy.
Given this background, we have received numerous inquiries from corporate clients regarding AI talent development and group examinations for the qualification. Corporate clients are encouraged to contact us at support@aicx.jp.

## Upcoming Schedule
- Mid-April 2026: Exam details to be released.
- Mid-June 2026: First "AI Agent Strategist" examination to be held (online format).

Registrations for the waiting list are still being accepted. Registered individuals will receive early access to the official textbook.

## Comment from Representative Director (Kensuke Ozawa)
I am once again realizing that the "quality" of demand for AI talent in Japan has changed. "Even if you learn AI, the workplace doesn't change, the organization doesn't move" — I have never heard a challenge repeated so often in over 300 presentations a year.
"Companies won't change just by being able to write prompts."
What is needed are individuals who can connect the power of AI to business design and organizational transformation. I hope this qualification will be an opportunity to increase the number of such individuals, even by one.

## Comment from Representative Director (Shin Oguri)
The number of people who can use AI is rapidly increasing. Yet, only a very small number of companies have truly transformed their workplaces and organizations.
The 1,000 registrations are a testament to the will to confront the question of "how to change the workplace and organization" rather than just "how to use it."
I am convinced that increasing the number of individuals who can integrate the three areas of AI agent x business design x organizational design will advance AI implementation across Japan. I hope this qualification will serve as a role model for that.
