Our company endorses April Dream, a project that aims to make April 1st a day for announcing dreams. This press release represents the dream of AI Reskill Inc.
AI Reskill Inc. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; Representative Director: Shinya Yamahara) holds the dream of "creating a place that fosters the 'first step' for everyone who wants to use AI." To achieve this, we are advancing two concepts: the renewal of the AI tool search media "AI Tool Gallery" and the AI event search platform "Weabee." We design a continuous experience, from the entry point of AI utilization to connection with communities.
"I want to use AI" but can't: The Widening Gap
With the spread of generative AI, the number of people who "want to use AI" has rapidly increased. However, there is a significant gap between interest and actual practice.
Gap in AI Utilization
・ Don't know which tool to choose—Thousands of AI tools exist, and just finding one that suits you is a struggle.
・ Don't know what to do after using it—Even after trying it, it's unclear how to integrate it into work or daily life.
・ No place for continuous learning and utilization—Self-study has its limits, and there's no one nearby to consult.
The motivation is there. However, the mechanisms to transform that motivation into "actual action" are insufficient. This is a structural challenge facing AI utilization in Japan.
AI Tool Gallery: Redesigning the Entrance for "Finding, Learning, and Teaching AI"
AI Tool Gallery after renewal image
AI Tool Gallery (https://ai-gallery.jp/) is an AI tool search media used by over 400,000 people, based on the concept of "finding, learning, and teaching AI." Through information on over 600 AI tools and more than 2,000 articles, it has answered the question "which AI tool should I use?"
Current Role and Challenges
We provide functions for finding and selecting AI tools, from comparison and search to review and favorite features. However, we feel there is still a barrier to overcome between "knowing" a tool and "starting to use" it.
Renewal Concept: From "Viewing" to "Using and Expanding"
We are currently undergoing a full renewal of the AI Tool Gallery. Our goal is to transform it from "a place to find AI tools" to "a place to start using AI tools."
Specifically, we will enhance UGC (User Generated Content) functions, evolving into a structure where users themselves can share their AI tool utilization experiences.
・ Users can post reviews and usage examples of AI tools.
・ Users can see "which tools people in the same profession/with the same purpose are using and how."
・ Information, including usage methods, will accumulate as a community.
・ AI-powered search and tool comparison will allow users to reach the most suitable tool in the shortest time.
For those who want to start using AI, the most helpful resource is not expert commentary but "real experiences from people similar to themselves." We will create a place where such real experiences naturally gather.
Dream: To become the first place people visit when they want to try AI.
Knowing, choosing, and starting to use tools. We will nurture the AI Tool Gallery as the "entry point for AI utilization" where this series of flows naturally occurs.
Weabee: "Weave the Wave of AI" - A Place where People Weave the Wave of AI
The Problem of "Undiscoverable" AI Events
AI-related events—study sessions, hackathons, seminars, networking events—are held daily across Japan. However, information about them is scattered across multiple platforms, making it difficult, especially for those new to AI, to know "which event to attend."
Furthermore, connections between local AI communities are limited. Active study sessions in Tokyo are not known in Osaka. Corporate AI utilization case sharing events do not intersect with individual learning communities. This creates fragmentation.
Weabee Concept
Weabee is a concept for an AI-specific event search and discovery platform.
The name embodies three meanings:
・ Weave: To weave people and knowledge together.
・ Wave: For the wave of AI to spread.
・ Bee: Like bees, naturally gathering, bringing knowledge, and building a community hive.
While existing event platforms serve as infrastructure for "hosting, applying, and settling payments," Weabee aims to be an OS (Operating System)* for "discovery, following, and continuous participation." We aim to centralize AI event information in one place, making it a platform where even beginners can find events that suit them.
・ Events are structured along axes that are easy for beginners to choose, such as theme, level, and format.
・ A mechanism where new events are delivered when organizers or themes are followed.
・ Designed to properly highlight new organizers and small-scale events.
・ Assumes parallel use with existing platforms, not increasing the burden on organizers.
* OS = Refers to a platform that supports the entire AI event participation experience, like foundational software.
* Weabee is currently under development and will gradually release functions.
Dream: To become a "foundation" where people involved in AI naturally gather and connect.
A place where beginners can feel "I'll be fine here." A place where practitioners can exchange new knowledge. A place where community organizers can meet participants. We will nurture Weabee as such a hub, where everyone weaves the wave of AI together.
"Discover → Use → Connect" — A Series of Experiences Created by Two Concepts
AI Tool Gallery and Weabee are independent services, but they are designed as one continuous experience.
Step
Service
Experience
Discover (Know & Use)
AI Tool Gallery
Find and start using AI tools that suit you.
Connect (Connect)
Weabee
Meet peers and communities to learn AI together.
"I'm interested in AI, but I don't know where to start."
Our goal is to naturally create a flow where such individuals encounter their first tool at the AI Tool Gallery, connect with like-minded people at Weabee, and integrate AI utilization into their daily lives as a service.
In the future, we also envision developing a suite of services that further enrich this experience, such as services for practitioners to deepen their skills and mechanisms to further activate UGC.
Message from the Representative
Shinya Yamahara, Representative Director, AI Reskill Inc.
It has been a few years since generative AI became a hot topic. I feel there is still a significant distance between those who "want to use AI" and those who "are actually using it." Many people visit the AI Tool Gallery daily to find out "which AI tool to use." However, simply knowing about a tool requires another push to actually start using it. Real experiences from people in the same position as oneself. And the presence of peers and communities to learn with.
What our company aims for is not a school that teaches AI knowledge. It is to create a "place" where people who want to use AI naturally gather, exchange information, and take a step forward.
Through the AI Tool Gallery and Weabee, these two services, we want to support the "first step" for everyone interested in AI. That is our dream.
"April Dream" is a project by PR TIMES where companies announce dreams they wish to achieve on April 1st. We are seriously committed to realizing this dream.
