AGRIST Signs Comprehensive Partnership Agreement with Fukagawa City in Hokkaido, HPRS Inc., and Kitasorachi Agricultural Cooperative

AGRIST Inc. (Headquarters: Shintomi-cho, Miyazaki Prefecture; hereinafter 'AGRIST'), a startup that solves agricultural issues with technology, signed a 'Comprehensive Partnership Agreement on the Realization of Next-Generation Agriculture and the Resolution of Regional Issues' in March with Fukagawa City, Hokkaido (hereinafter 'Fukagawa City'), HPRS Inc. (hereinafter 'HPRS'), and Kitasorachi Agricultural Cooperative (hereinafter 'Kitasorachi').

Background of the Comprehensive Partnership Agreement In regional agriculture, including Fukagawa City, securing workers and improving productivity have become urgent tasks in response to increasingly severe labor shortages. To solve this issue and realize next-generation agriculture, the four parties signed a partnership agreement to implement next-generation agriculture, such as developing cultivation environments using robotics and AI technology and utilizing circular energy, with Fukagawa City serving as the first full-scale deployment field in Hokkaido.

Contents of the Agreement Under this agreement, the following contents were concluded to achieve sustainable agriculture: 1. Construction of a new production system utilizing smart agriculture 2. Training of next-generation workers to support regional agriculture 3. Revitalization of the regional economy and job creation through the promotion of corporate entry

Future Prospects We will accelerate the realization of 'highly profitable agriculture' centered on technology, such as harvesting robots, to solve regional agricultural issues. While promoting the social implementation of smart agriculture, we will also focus on training workers through education and employment, contributing to the construction of a new agricultural ecosystem where regional industries are autonomously revitalized.
