AEON Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President: Taku Shigeno, hereinafter referred to as "AEON"), which operates Hao Chinese Academy, will launch a collaborative project with creator Kazuki, who runs the YouTube channel "Ikki Exploration." This initiative will feature linked video and column content starting March 31, 2026 (Tuesday). The "Ikki Exploration" channel, with the theme "Making China Travel More Accessible, Making China Travel More Peaceful," delivers videos of Kazuki's travels in China to a Japanese audience. Hao's instructors will provide commentary in columns explaining the Chinese expressions used in these videos. By experiencing the local scenes, actual Chinese used, and the current state of Chinese society through videos, learning will become more enjoyable and practical. The first installment of the column will introduce "native-like expressions" from conversations between Kazuki and his friends while traveling in China. The first installment is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, March 31st, and thereafter, two columns will be updated each month, for a total of 12 installments.
This project was born from the desire to deliver "living Chinese expressions" that are difficult to encounter through textbooks alone. Hao Chinese Academy is committed to supporting your long-term and in-depth Chinese learning journey, valuing not only language acquisition but also the understanding of the culture and ways of thinking behind the words.
