AEON Entertainment Opens Its Third Vietnam Location in Ho Chi Minh City: "AEON BETA Central Premium"

AEON Entertainment Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Nobuyuki Fujiwara), which operates 97 "AEON Cinema" theaters across Japan, opened a new cinema complex, "AEON BETA Central Premium," on Friday, March 20, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City, the economic hub located in southern Vietnam.

To facilitate its expansion into Vietnam, AEON Entertainment established a joint venture, "AEON ENTERTAINMENT VIETNAM CO., LTD.," in March 2025 with the Vietnamese cinema operator Beta Media (BETA MEDIA JSC; Headquarters: Hanoi, Vietnam; CEO: Bui Quang Minh). Following the opening of its first Vietnamese location, "AEON BETA Vincom Smart City" in Hanoi in December 2025, and its second, "AEON BETA Vincom Royal Island" in Hai Phong in January 2026, the company has now proceeded to open this third location in Ho Chi Minh City.

The new theater is equipped with 7 screens and 753 seats. In addition to the "WAKUWAKU Seat," which is wider than a regular seat and features reclining capabilities for relaxation, the theater also offers the "DOKI DOKI Seat," designed for couples, catering to the high number of couples among Vietnamese customers. These options allow customers to choose seating that best fits their needs. The merchandise area, which has been well-received by customers at other AEON BETA locations, is also planned to feature popular Japanese IP (intellectual property) products.

With the brand concept of "Creating and expanding the circle of excitement," AEON Entertainment will continue to take on new challenges to deliver surprise and inspiration to customers in Vietnam.
