Announcement of the 24th Junior High School Essay Contest

Our foundation will begin accepting entries for the 24th Junior High School Essay Contest for students nationwide starting June 1, 2026. Since 2003, we have held this contest to help students develop their writing skills and express their thoughts on social issues related to the environment. This year's theme is 'Building a Sustainable Future with the Community.' Outstanding works will receive awards such as the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award, the Minister of the Environment Award, and the Aeon 1% Club Award. An awards ceremony will be held in Yokohama on November 28, 2026, followed by an eco-tour the next day. Through this contest, we aim to provide opportunities for students to think proactively about their communities and the environment, and we remain committed to supporting the healthy development of the next generation.
