Second "Genki (Energy/Vitality) Festival" Held to Promote Frailty Prevention

Ion Retail will hold the second "Genki Festival" to promote frailty prevention from Friday, April 3rd to Wednesday, May 6th (holiday) at approximately 380 "Aeon" and "Aeon Style" stores*1).

In recent years, as aging accelerates, initiatives for frailty prevention are spreading to maintain physical and mental health for a long time. In light of this, our company has been implementing the "Genki Festival" initiative since September 2025 to provide an opportunity to consider health maintenance and lifestyle improvements.

For the second event, we will offer up to approximately 290 items*2) useful for maintaining health, such as supplements and nutritional foods. When you purchase eligible products, customers will receive WAON bonus points*3), and an amount equivalent to the points will be donated to regional welfare administrative organizations*4) for use in welfare activities. Furthermore, to help promote the health of more community members, we will hold the "Genki Mini Festival" at approximately 340 stores*5), where our store-qualified personnel will conduct health checks and skincare seminars.

From Friday, April 3rd to Wednesday, May 6th (holiday), customers who purchase eligible products from 35 sponsoring companies, up to approximately 290 items*2), will receive WAON bonus points*3). In addition, an amount equivalent to the points will be donated to regional welfare administrative organizations*4) and utilized for initiatives such as local frailty prevention, not just personal health maintenance.

It is said that in addition to "nutrition" and "physical activity," "social participation" is also important for frailty prevention. To help promote the health and foster community among local residents, we will hold events offering information and experiences related to frailty prevention and lifestyle improvement. A large-scale event where our store-qualified personnel and business partners gather to provide health checks and seminars will be held at 4 stores*6). In addition to business partners, approximately 1.5 times more than last year, local government and community groups will also participate, creating a space for information provision and consultations regarding the health of local residents. Furthermore, to raise health awareness among more people, we will hold the "Genki Mini Festival" on Wednesday, April 15th, at approximately 340 stores*5), where our pharmacists and employees will conduct body composition and vascular age measurements, sugar content checks, and skincare seminars.

Genki Mini Festival To help promote the health of more community members, our store-qualified personnel will hold the "Genki Mini Festival," an event related to frailty prevention. This will include measurements of body composition and blood pressure, as well as sugar content checks, hand care, and skincare workshops.
