Since 2009, Aeon has issued "Gotochi WAON" cards in collaboration with local governments across Japan, where a portion of the usage amount contributes to the local community. When customers use "Gotochi WAON" via WAON e-money or AEON Pay (charge payment), Aeon donates a portion of the transaction amount to local governments and other organizations to support regional development, child-rearing, and environmental conservation.

As of March 27, 2026, the cumulative donation total has reached 3.6 billion yen. This Guinness World Record™ achievement is shared with the customers who use Gotochi WAON and the partner municipalities.

Aeon will use this recognition as an opportunity to further expand the circle of regional support through Gotochi WAON.
