Since 2009, Aeon has issued "Gotochi WAON" cards in collaboration with local governments across Japan, where a portion of the usage amount contributes to local community development. When customers use "Gotochi WAON" via WAON e-money or AEON Pay (charge payment), Aeon donates a portion of the transaction to local governments and other organizations to support regional promotion, child-rearing support, and environmental conservation initiatives.

As of March 27, 2026, the cumulative donation total has reached 3.6 billion yen. This GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ achievement was made possible through the support of our customers who use Gotochi WAON and our partner municipalities.

Aeon will use this recognition as an opportunity to further expand the circle of regional support through Gotochi WAON.
