ADS-TEC Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Funabashi, Chiba; Representative Director: Yuki Kojima), in collaboration with Hammer-IMS (Belgium), has launched "Marveloc-Lab," a laboratory measurement device designed for basis weight measurement in material and quality evaluation, such as for battery electrode sheets.

Non-Radiological Measurement Combining Safety and Simplicity: Measuring "Weight" Non-Contact via Ultrasound This product is a non-contact, non-destructive, and non-radiological measurement device that employs an ultrasonic transmission method (Time-of-Flight/intensity detection). Because it does not use radiation, it does not require special controlled areas or compliance with radiation-related legal regulations, allowing for safe and easy installation and operation.

[Image Caption: Ultrasound is transmitted between sensors placed above and below the material, and the basis weight is calculated based on how it travels (changes in arrival time and intensity). Because it can measure without touching the material, evaluation is possible without damaging the sample.]

Supports a Wide Range of Materials and Achieves High-Precision Measurement "Marveloc-Lab" supports a wide range of sheet materials, including conductive materials such as electrode sheets, and measures basis weight (mg/cm²) with high precision. It achieves a measurement accuracy of 0.1 mg/cm² (1σ), enabling the acquisition of stable evaluation data.

Compact Desktop Design for Easy Integration into Lab Environments "Marveloc-Lab" is designed with a compact desktop size (approx. 434 x 413 x 292 mm), making it easy to install in any lab environment regardless of space constraints. It is suitable for daily evaluation tasks and can be operated in limited spaces. It supports various evaluations through manual sample feeding.

Software and Data Integration Equipped with an intuitive GUI, the device is ready for immediate measurement upon connecting a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. It supports a wide range of communication interfaces, including Profinet, OPC UA, SQL, and FTP/SFTP.

Main Use Cases - Evaluation of formulation and coating conditions in electrode sheet R&D - Verification of basis weight variation in quality control - Material property evaluation of sheets containing conductive materials - Lab evaluation of prototypes and small-lot samples

Sample Evaluation Service Now Available ADS-TEC Co., Ltd. offers a "Sample Evaluation Service" for customers considering the purchase of the system. By verifying measurements using actual electrode sheets, customers can confirm the system's effectiveness and suitability in advance, allowing for a confident investment decision.

About ADS-TEC Co., Ltd. Since our establishment in 2002, ADS-TEC Co., Ltd. has built a strong track record in two core business areas: the import, sale, and engineering of image-related equipment, and the development and manufacturing of gene-related equipment, all while maintaining a customer-first philosophy. In these rapidly evolving fields, we pride ourselves on having established a system that responds to customer requests with precision and speed by expanding our business network both in Japan and overseas. We strive to be a group of experts capable of assisting in projects—including providing proposals—in these two fields. We focus not only on technical capabilities but also on staff training, putting effort into polishing our "human power." Moving forward, we will continue to identify the trends of the times to provide, develop, and manufacture products that truly match our customers' needs.
