ACSHU Inc. Introduces New Measures to Protect Employees Against Inflation
ACSHU Inc. supports employee livelihoods amidst inflation by introducing CPI-linked allowances and crude oil price countermeasures.
ACSHU Inc. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa; Representative Director: Jun Arase) is pleased to announce the launch of new initiatives aimed at supporting employee livelihoods and reducing energy consumption in response to the ongoing rise in crude oil prices and the broader inflationary environment.
By combining a Consumer Price Index (CPI)-linked allowance system with a crude oil price countermeasure allowance and the promotion of remote work, these measures aim to protect the living standards of our employees while ensuring sustainable energy usage as a company.
■ Background
In recent years, the rise in energy costs and inflation has significantly impacted both corporate activities and individual lives. In response to these environmental changes, we have decided to implement these initiatives, recognizing the need to simultaneously achieve the goals of "protecting employee livelihoods" and "optimizing energy consumption."
■ Key Initiatives
1. Introduction of CPI-Linked Allowance
Allowances will be provided based on the year-on-year change in the Consumer Price Index.
1,000 yen will be paid for every 0.1% increase compared to the same month of the previous year.
There will be no reduction in the allowance even if the index is negative.
(Example) February 2026: +1.3% year-on-year → 13,000 yen payment
This system is designed to mitigate the decline in real income caused by inflation.
2. Crude Oil Price Countermeasure Allowance
To address rising energy costs, a flat allowance of 10,000 yen will be provided to all employees. This is intended to compensate for indirect increases in expenses such as electricity, gas, and transportation costs.
3. Promotion of Remote Work
We are actively promoting work-from-home arrangements to reduce energy consumption associated with commuting. Furthermore, transportation costs saved through reduced office attendance will be returned to employees in the form of various allowances.
4. Reduction of Office Power Consumption
In conjunction with the promotion of remote work, we will optimize the use of lighting and air conditioning in the office to reduce overall electricity consumption.
■ Implementation Period
These measures will be implemented as a temporary, six-month initiative. However, we will extend or review the content as necessary based on trends in prices and energy costs, international conditions, and government responses.
■ Future Outlook
ACSHU Inc. will continue to strive for a balance between stabilizing the foundation of our employees' lives and sustainable corporate management, promoting flexible and agile initiatives in response to changes in the social environment.
