ABEMA to Broadcast FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) "6 Hours of Fuji" and "8 Hours of Bahrain" Races Live for Free!

ABEMA, the new future TV service, is pleased to announce that it will broadcast the final race of the "6 Hours of Fuji," held at the Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka Prefecture on September 27, 2026, and the final round "8 Hours of Bahrain," held at the Bahrain International Circuit in Bahrain on November 7, 2026, of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) live and for free.

The "FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC)" is the world's premier endurance racing series, represented by the traditional "24 Hours of Le Mans," and travels to various locations around the globe. Its most distinctive feature is the challenging mixed-class format where vehicles from two classes with significantly different speeds – the top-tier "Hypercar" class and the "LMGT3" class based on production cars – race on the same track simultaneously. In the top category, the Hypercar class, renowned automotive manufacturers from around the world, including Japan's Toyota, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Cadillac, Peugeot, Alpine, and Aston Martin, participate with their works teams, staking their prestige.

Starting June 13, 2026, at 22:30, ABEMA will deliver the final race of the "24 Hours of Le Mans," considered one of the world's three great races and the pinnacle of WEC, with a 24-hour complete free live broadcast, a first in Japan (※1). This event features Toyota, a Japanese team that has achieved an incredible five consecutive victories since 2018, drawing significant attention to whether they can reclaim the championship title.

Following the intense battles of the "24 Hours of Le Mans," ABEMA will provide free live broadcasts of the "6 Hours of Fuji" race, culminating on September 27, 2026, at the Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka Prefecture, and the "8 Hours of Bahrain," the final round of the series in the Middle East, concluding on November 7, 2026.
