Kazuya Nakai Amazed by Junya Enoki's "Heat" in Yuji Itadori's "I Am a Cog"! Mikako Komatsu & Marina Inoue's "Maki x Mai" Discussion Reaffirms "We Really Are Twins" - Sendai Colony PV & New Cast Revealed!

The new television of the future, "ABEMA", broadcasted a free special program, "TV Anime 'Jujutsu Kaisen' Season 3 'Culling Game Part 1' Pre-Finale Special", starting at 7:30 PM on Sunday, March 22, 2026. This program featured a luxurious lineup of six cast members, the most in the history of 'Jujutsu Kaisen' specials, including Junya Enoki (Yuji Itadori), Yuma Uchida (Megumi Fushiguro), Mikako Komatsu (Maki Zen'in), Marina Inoue (Mai Zen'in), Kazuya Nakai (Kinji Hakari), and Yutaka Aoyama (Reggie Star). While looking back at the fierce battles so far, they talked about memorable scenes and behind-the-scenes stories from the dubbing sessions.

In the program, the cast members who played key roles looked back on the various battles in "Culling Game Part 1" in a discussion format.

First, from episode 51, "Mouthing a Reed," which depicted the collapse of the Zen'in family, Mikako Komatsu, who plays Maki Zen'in, and Marina Inoue, who plays Mai Zen'in, appeared. They reflected on the climax of the story of these two, who have continuously missed each other despite being twins.

The scene chosen by the fans was "the final conversation between Maki and Mai in the spiritual world." Regarding one of the series' most famous scenes, where Mai entrusts her feelings to Maki saying "Destroy everything," Komatsu stated, "It's painful no matter how many times I watch it," and Inoue solemnly reflected, "It was a special scene for us."

Also, looking back on the recording, Inoue revealed her surprise at the time, saying, "It had been a while since I had a Jujutsu Kaisen schedule, and when I went to the dubbing, it was already this scene! It felt like the climax all of a sudden," and Komatsu commented, "My mental preparation couldn't catch up, you could say. There was quite a bit of tension." Furthermore, since it was recorded under the special circumstance that the main characters like Itadori were absent, they reflected that "We had to create the atmosphere all over again," and also talked about the presence that supported the set, saying, "Yusa (Koji)-san, who plays Naoya, created that atmosphere for us."

In addition, during the talk about the series of scenes of Maki's awakening, they highly praised the level of perfection, saying, "The contrast between stillness and motion is amazing!" and "The direction of the fighting scenes was truly spectacular to watch." Moreover, when answering the question from a viewer, "What is your favorite scene in 'Jujutsu Kaisen' overall?" both of them unexpectedly gave the same answer at the same time: "Okkotsu's 'How rude. This is pure love.'" They got excited saying, "We really are twins!" and the studio erupted in laughter.
