After the Shibuya Incident, the Culling Game, a battle royale among those granted Jujutsu by Kenjaku, suddenly begins across 10 barriers (colonies) nationwide.

Itadori, burdened by guilt over the mass murders in Shibuya and wary of Sukuna targeting Fushiguro, did not return to Jujutsu High and instead focused on exterminating the vast number of Cursed Spirits released by Kenjaku with Choso.

Amidst this chaos, the Jujutsu High higher-ups revoked Yuji Itadori's suspended death sentence and appointed special-grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu as his executioner. Yuta confronts Itadori to fulfill his mission.

Modern sorcerers newly awakened as players in the Culling Game, and past sorcerers resurrected through incarnation.
