ABEMA's popular original variety show 'Ai no Hyena' Season 5 records the highest weekly average viewership in the series' history!

The "new future TV" ABEMA is pleased to announce that Season 5 of its original variety show "Ai no Hyena," featuring comedy duos New York and Saraba Seishun no Hikari, has recorded the highest weekly average viewership in the series' history.

The "Ai no Hyena" series is an unreserved documentary variety show where the four comedians, acting as "hyenas hungry for love," expose human "desires" based on the theme of "love," latching onto those "moments" that people can't help but want to peek at.

Season 5, which aired its final episode on Tuesday, March 24, achieved record-breaking viewership. The season featured the flagship segment "Yusuke Yamamoto Becomes a Host," where actor Yusuke Yamamoto challenged himself to work at a host club, culminating in the "Strongest Charismatic Group Clash" arc. The season also included unique dating projects such as "Can't I Fall in Pure Love?" featuring adult film actresses, "Silicon's Love" featuring women who have undergone plastic surgery, and "Vibes Love" featuring Reiwa-era gals. Furthermore, the show covered aggressive topics including women who gave birth in their teens, families living in polygamous arrangements, and follow-ups on "troublemaker" adults who once caused scenes at their coming-of-age ceremonies. The final episode is available for free catch-up viewing until 11:59 PM on Tuesday, March 31. Due to its popularity, a new season, "Ai no Hyena Season 6," has already been greenlit, with details to be announced later.

Additionally, on March 17, the show held its first-ever live event, "Secret Meeting: Only Those Who Can Keep a Secret May Attend, Presented by Ai no Hyena." Tickets sold out within seconds of going on sale. The event featured "Kabukicho Behind-the-Scenes Host Talk" and the "Yusuke Yamamoto's Strongest Right-Hand Audition" segment. The event is available for catch-up viewing on "ABEMA PPV" until 11:59 PM on Thursday, April 16.

To commemorate ABEMA's 10th anniversary, the special program "30-Hour Limit-Breaking Fest" will air from 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, to 10:00 PM on Sunday, April 12. This will include "Ai no Hyena Special: Gather in the Hyena Forest" and the "Yusuke Yamamoto 30-Hour Offer-Waiting Marathon." In the former, the cast will confront "troublemakers" live, while in the latter, Yamamoto will attempt a marathon while seeking real-time job offers, supported by his "host mentor" Gunshin (Kazuki Kokonatsu) and other popular hosts from the show.
