Celebrating 20th Anniversaries! ABEMA Announces Special Project: "Our Sanctuary, Unchanged for 20 Years - Let's Celebrate Anniversary Anime on ABEMA" Starting Wednesday, April 1st
ABEMA will host a special project featuring free, back-to-back broadcasts of seven legendary anime series that premiered in 2006.
The "new future TV" ABEMA will launch a special project titled "Our Sanctuary, Unchanged for 20 Years - Let's Celebrate Anniversary Anime on ABEMA" starting Wednesday, April 1, 2026, featuring iconic anime series celebrating their 20th anniversaries in 2026.
The year 2006 saw the birth of numerous masterpieces that are still talked about today, including Reborn!, Ouran High School Host Club, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Gintama, Higurashi When They Cry, and DEATH NOTE. From battle action and school comedies to youth dramas, mysteries, and gag series, these titles captured the hearts of many fans with their diverse worlds and compelling characters, maintaining unwavering support to this day.
In this project, these seven titles will be broadcast for free in succession over approximately one month, from Wednesday, April 1, to Sunday, April 26. We are delivering a special lineup that allows fans to relive the excitement and thrill of those days as we mark this 20-year milestone.
