ABEMA, the "new future TV," has exclusively and freely streamed the final episode of the hybrid drama "Bad Choice, Good Love" on March 25, 2026 (Wednesday) at 8 PM, in collaboration with the short drama project "Show Drama," which aims to discover next-generation creators and star talents and explore new forms of video expression through the "familiarity" of vertical short videos and the "storytelling" of dramas.

■What is "Bad Choice, Good Love"

"Bad Choice, Good Love" is a new style of "hybrid drama" that fuses the "horizontal drama" on ABEMA with the "vertical drama" distributed primarily on social media through "Show Drama." Vertical short dramas have been released on each social media account of "Show Drama" since February 28, 2026 (Saturday). The horizontal drama has been streamed on ABEMA since March 11, 2026 (Wednesday) at 8 PM. The vertical dramas are side stories to the horizontal drama, exclusively and freely streamed on ABEMA, and are designed to allow viewers to experience the depth of the story more profoundly by enjoying the behind-the-scenes and alternative perspectives of the characters that are not told in the main story.

The story is set in Shimokitazawa, a town whispered to have a urban legend of time slips occurring on foggy nights. It depicts the protagonist, who experienced a terrible breakup with her "ex-boyfriend" from her university light music circle in her first life and carries the trauma of that heartbreak even after becoming an adult, time-slipping back to her second year of university and being forced to make a "second choice." Against the backdrop of regrets and wishes that everyone holds deep in their hearts, such as "What if I had chosen a different path then...?", this work confronts the immature self of her university days, depicting growth and struggles to affirm oneself, rather than simply reliving the past. It is a realistic romantic comedy.

The lead role is played by Yu Miyazaki, who is gaining significant attention after being chosen as the heroine in the Netflix series "Glass Heart" to be released in 2025. This is her long-awaited drama debut, and she plays the role of Hiyori Kamoi, a woman of her time struggling to overcome past trauma.
