The new future television 'ABEMA' will begin broadcasting the original dating show 'Love Hospital' (6 episodes total) on the 'ABEMA SPECIAL Channel' starting Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 10 PM. 'Love Hospital' is a dating program where adults who have become so absorbed in their work that they have forgotten how to love, face romance in earnest. Ten men and women who have been at the forefront of politics, economics, and culture will spend three days and two nights living together, confronting the love and the selves they have left behind. As values, pasts, and views on love intersect, their true feelings and vulnerabilities are laid bare. Viewers can look forward to seeing what choices they make in a world of love where logic and rationality do not apply. The participants include male members: former politician Shinji (Shinji Ishimaru, 43), actor Hideo (Hideo Ishiguro, 37) known for 'Gokusen' and 'Hanzawa Naoki', entrepreneur and 'Reiwa no Tora' general producer Ryusei (Ryusei Kuwata, 40), former J-Leaguer and culinary researcher Yuto (Yuto Koizumi, 30), and freelance announcer Masakatsu (Masakatsu Shizuishi, 32). Female members include: current University of Tokyo graduate student and Miss Tokyo University 2020/Miss Campus 2021 Grand Prix winner Asa (Asa Kamiya, 25), Nishitokyo City council member and former elementary school teacher Izumi (Izumi Senga, 33), office worker/talent and single mother Erina (Erina Hirakawa, 33), former top talent Natsuko (Natsuko Tatsumi, 38), and former auto mechanic and current mechanic support company owner Haruka (Haruka Ikeda, 30). The show promises a realistic look at adult romance unlike any previous dating program. The studio commentators will include the 'charisma of beauty' Allen-sama, entrepreneur Hiroyuki, actress Yoko Maki, and model/actress Tina Tamashiro. These four individuals with diverse values will provide realistic perspectives on the participants' actions. Ahead of the broadcast, participants shared their thoughts. Shinji (Shinji Ishimaru) revealed his honest feelings, saying, 'In a word, I had a bad feeling about this (laughs),' while Hideo (Ishiguro) commented, 'It was a time to face how much of my true self I could reveal, rather than acting.' Asa (Kamiya) expressed her determination, stating, 'I participated with the serious intention of finding a marriage partner.' (Participant comments are included at the bottom of the release.)
