・About 'Shin Shinonome: Onmyo no Miko'
In this strategic roguelike horror game, you play as Yono, a shrine maiden searching for her missing older brother, an onmyoji. You must challenge mansions filled with mononoke where the layout changes every time you enter. "Sound" is a crucial element of gameplay; you can identify the type of mononoke by listening to noises in adjacent rooms or lure them into trapped rooms using sound to defeat them. It is not just about defeating the mononoke; sometimes you must use them to your advantage. While you can use action to survive, careful observation and strategic planning are the keys to success. Since it does not require complex controls, it is also recommended for those who are not skilled at action games.
・Three Playable Modes and 53 Mansions in Total
【Harae (Purification)】A story-driven mode where the protagonist Yono travels to various places, fulfilling requests from the main family while secretly searching for her brother. The mansion (dungeon) layouts are fixed, with mononoke and items placed in specific spots, allowing for puzzle-like gameplay.
【Misogi (Ablution)】A roguelike mode where you aim to escape from small, randomly generated mansions. It can be cleared in as little as a few minutes, making it easy to enjoy like an escape game.
【Gyo (Asceticism)】A survival roguelike mode where you compete on an online leaderboard to see how long you can survive in infinitely generated, high-difficulty towers and underground mansions while managing items and food. This serves as end-game content for high-level players.
・Keep your eyes peeled in every corner of the room to find clues for success.
