ClassNK Certified 'TRANS-Crew'
In recent years, within the ocean-going shipping industry, there have been increasingly higher demands for seafarer labor management and working environments, driven by the trend toward compliance with international conventions and strengthened regulations.
In particular, the proper management of work and rest hours based on the MLC, and securing the watchkeeping system based on the STCW Convention, have become crucial management issues for shipowners and ship management companies from both the perspectives of safe operation and business continuity.
"TRANS-Crew" was additionally developed as a system to support labor management centered on the management of seafarers' work and rest hours, in order to address these practical challenges in the ocean-going shipping industry.
With this certification, it has been objectively confirmed by a third-party organization that "TRANS-Crew" is a system possessing calculation functions compliant with the requirements based on the MLC and STCW conventions.
"TRANS-Crew" was born by integrating AIS's track record of providing the core system for the maritime industry, "TRANS-Series", for about 30 years, with its know-how of land-based attendance management systems spanning over 23 years, and an implementation record across a total of more than 900 companies.
Starting from labor management, it is possible to centrally manage various information regarding seafarers on a single platform, including allowance calculation, payroll system linkage, crewing management, qualification and deadline management, and dynamic management.
Furthermore, while being a cloud service, it also supports flexible individual customization, realizing implementation and operational support tailored to the actual operational status and challenges of each company.
'TRANS-Crew' Platform
Through obtaining this certification, AIS will contribute to the establishment of labor management systems in line with international standards in the ocean-going shipping industry and the improvement of seafarers' working environments. Going forward, we will continue to support the development of a sustainable maritime business through system development tailored to the practical operations of the shipping industry.
