"87gela," a specialty flower gelato shop operated by "87farm" (Hana Farm), an edible flower farm (operated by 87 Co., Ltd., Headquarters: Higashiomi City, Shiga Prefecture, Representative Director: Kenta Masuda), celebrated its 1st anniversary renewal opening on March 17, 2026. To commemorate this, the store facilities have been significantly updated.

With the desire to "have customers enjoy flowers and gelato more leisurely," we have installed a "covered terrace seating area" where customers can spend time with their beloved dogs and small children, and new "indoor bench seating" that can be used safely even on rainy days. Furthermore, we have refreshed the showcase for cup gelato, which is ideal for gifts, and enhanced our souvenir products, evolving into a place more beloved by local residents and tourists alike.

■Closer to your beloved dog and family. A spacious "covered terrace seating area" is born.

We have enhanced our outdoor dining space, which has been highly requested. With the newly installed terrace roof, you can enjoy gelato while feeling the pleasant breeze, without worrying about strong sunlight or sudden changes in weather.

Dogs welcome: You can take a break with your beloved dog during a walk.

Safe for families with children: Enjoy family time in the spacious outdoor area.

■Seasonal Flower Fields

In front of the 87gela store spreads a rapeseed flower field that can only be seen at this time of year. The contrast created by the blue sky, the yellow carpet, and the white swing is truly a photogenic and healing space.

The best time to see the rapeseed flowers is expected to be until around April 12th. As it is a natural landscape, we recommend visiting early.

■Future Developments

Around May, gelato from FUSE, a macaron and chocolate shop run by Chef Fumihiko Fuse, who was selected as the Japan representative in "Top of Patissier in Asia" in 2012 and won the same competition in 2013, will be introduced. It will be offered at FUSE in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture (not sold at 87gela store).
