The Taiwan Faasai Executive Committee is pleased to announce the upcoming 'Taiwan Faasai 2026 (Taiwan Faasai)' event, taking place over three days from Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Bamboo Terrace Plaza (Fountain Plaza) in Ueno Imperial Park.

Inspired by the lively atmosphere of a traditional Taiwanese night market, this event will feature authentic Taiwanese cuisine such as xiaolongbao, lu rou fan, da ji pai, and more. Cultural performances including lion dance are also scheduled, offering visitors a rare opportunity to experience Taiwan's rich culture right in the heart of Ueno.

Hot off the success in Kaohsiung, the popular eatery 'Bao Bao Yang' will make its debut at the festival, serving up beloved Taiwanese desserts like mango shaved ice, douhua (soybean jelly), and bai tang guo.

The name 'Taiwan Faasai' is a creative play on the Taiwanese phrase 'Faatsai' (發財), meaning 'to get rich.' Commonly used as a New Year greeting, it symbolizes good fortune, prosperity, and wealth. This festival aims to bring luck and abundance to all who attend.
