"Sen no Kouki PROJECT": A Platform for People Who Want to Improve Society to Learn and Practice Together

Our organization supports April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day to express dreams. This press release is the dream of "Sen no Kouki PROJECT (General Incorporated Association Terukuni)."

General Incorporated Association Terukuni (Location: Nishi-ku, Osaka City) operates the Sen no Kouki PROJECT (https://1000-kouki.jp/), a community where people engaged in social contribution activities and those who want to support them or learn about social issues gather. It is a platform for solving social issues, where people with the aspiration to "make Japan better" meet, learn, and act together.

Our Dream (Aspiration) and its Background "Even if I try my best alone, the world won't change" — we want to dispel such feelings of powerlessness today.

Japan is currently facing many social issues unprecedented among developed countries, such as 1 in 7 children living in poverty, suicide being the leading cause of death for those in their teens to thirties, declining food self-sufficiency, super-aging, wage stagnation, and rising prices. While approximately 49,000 NPOs and social contribution businesses exist to seriously address these issues, their numbers are decreasing year by year due to lack of funding, human resources, and successors.

The "Sen no Kouki PROJECT," operated by General Incorporated Association Terukuni (Representative Director: Keijihiro Yamashita), was created to change this reality.

What the Sen no Kouki PROJECT Values First, "Knowing" — for each citizen to correctly understand what is happening in Japan today.

Next, "Learning" — holding online study sessions called "Ignorance of Knowledge" to learn about politics, economics, history, and more from multiple perspectives, fostering a broader view of society.

And then, "Acting" — exchange meetings called "Kokorozashi Meets!!" held in various locations provide opportunities to meet directly with those working on the front lines of social issues, hear their authentic voices, and join hands.

Furthermore, a unique feature of this project is the implementation of an ecosystem where up to 70% of membership fees circulate as points to social contribution companies and organizations. These points can be used for donations to children's cafeterias and animal welfare organizations, or for purchasing additive-free foods, creating a system where support reaches society. Moreover, with highly transparent operations that disclose everything from representative compensation to monthly income and expenses 100%, it realizes a public co-creation model where no one is exploited.

Making Social Contribution the Most Rewarding Industry in Japan Our MISSION is to "accompany the realization of aspirations and circulate energy that improves the future." Our dream is to create a culture where social contribution activities and businesses are most rewarded, and to create a future where everyone can say, "This world is wonderful."

One company alone cannot solve all problems. I believe that by joining hands, learning from each other, and cooperating to improve the world, a future where everyone can live prosperously awaits.

Message from the Person in Charge Two years and three months have passed since the launch of the Sen no Kouki PROJECT in December 2023. Through daily conversations with many people addressing social issues, my own awareness and choices have changed significantly. I now try to buy things that are slightly better for my body, use detergents that are less harmful if they flow into the ocean, donate to activities I want to support, and participate in volunteer work on holidays, feeling a real increase in my own happiness. Why not start by simply knowing? I look forward to meeting as many people as possible to create a better future together.
