The central urban area of Shizuoka City is an area where diverse functions such as commerce, healthcare, education, and culture are concentrated. On the other hand, the shopping street organizations that have supported this area face challenges in sustainable operation due to aging and a shortage of successors.

This project aims to revitalize the entire central urban area, with the Miteta district (Miyukicho Development Association, Tenmacho Development Association, Takajo 1-chome Commercial Development Association) as the main base of operations. We are seeking Community Revitalization Volunteers who will work in collaboration with stakeholders to enhance the area's appeal and build a sustainable operational structure.

We welcome applications from individuals who are motivated to actively engage in activities while fostering communication with stakeholders.

Activities

Activities will be carried out in the central urban area in collaboration with shopping street associations (especially the Miyukicho Development Association, Tenmacho Development Association, and Takajo 1-chome Commercial Development Association). The specific content of the activities will be determined through discussions with each development association to clarify roles, and volunteers will be expected to actively participate in planning and implementation, engaging in concrete initiatives.

5. Other activities deemed necessary by the city for regional promotion

Specific Activities

Collaborate with the 3 development associations to discover and promote the appeal of the entire Miteta district, and promote town development in cooperation with stakeholders, taking into account the characteristics of each street and area.

2. Initiatives for sustainable organizational development

Based on the operational status of each development association, work to consolidate administrative tasks, discover new successors, and create opportunities to increase the number of stakeholders, while also promoting initiatives from an area management perspective, such as the utilization of public and private open spaces.
