Sekigahara Stone Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sekigahara-cho, Fuwa-gun, Gifu Prefecture; President: Ryota Kobayashi) will open a new showroom on Monday, June 1, 2026, accompanying the relocation of its Osaka Branch.
The spatial design of the new showroom was handled by "Teruhiro Yanagihara Studio," which is highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally. It has been reborn into a two-story space where architects, designers, and clients can directly experience the "texture and material feel of stone" and expand their imagination, going beyond a mere exhibition space for building materials.
■ Background of the renewal and the spatial concept embodying the charm of natural stone nurtured over hundreds of millions of years
The design concept of this showroom is "To look into darkness is to find depth; to look outward is to discover light." It expresses the contrast between the profound presence of stone, a natural material, and the delicate expressions brought out by light.
Most of the space is unified in refined gray tones to maximize the expressions of the stone materials, which are the main characters. Furthermore, for the plastered finish on the walls, we experimentally kneaded in "sludge" (a mud-like byproduct mixing water with the powdery substance produced when cutting stone) discharged during the stone processing at our own factory. By finding new value as a finishing material with a unique texture in a material that would otherwise have finished its role, we are combining the profound spatial expression unique to the showroom with an awareness of sustainability through the circulation of materials.
■ Characteristics of each floor where you can experience and select focus brands
[2F] A space to be drawn by stone and experience its texture (Concept: Drawn by stone)
The second floor is an approach area to encounter and be drawn to the charm of the stone itself. We provide an experience where you can directly touch the rich expressions of stone, such as its feel, mass, and sense of temperature. The wall finishes on this floor incorporate a variety of stones from "KISEKI," a luxury brand of natural stone produced by Sekigahara Stone. From our original line "Strad.," we boldly adopted the dynamic "Rosso Orobico" and "Mani Louvre," as well as the deep and dignified "Marine Black" and "Black Tempest." Furthermore, from "Antolini," the world's highest peak natural stone brand from Italy, we have placed stone types that can be called miraculous art created by great nature, such as "Aqua Terra CC," "Irish Green," and "Rouge de Savoie," throughout the space. The sizes and surface finishes of the stones also vary, and the space woven by stones exuding an overwhelming presence nurtured by the earth strongly stimulates the sensibilities of visitors.

[3F] A space to clearly select and create in light (Concept: Clarity in light)
The third floor is a practical selection and meeting space for actually seeing and comparing a wealth of commercial materials. The sample library deployed across the entire wall covers a diverse range of stone types. Over 550 types of natural stone, porcelain tiles, and quartz stone are on display. Including the natural stone luxury brands "KISEKI" "Strad." and "Antolini" exhibited on the 2nd floor, we have a rich lineup of focus materials such as the advanced large-format ceramic tile "ULTRA" that enables dynamic expression, and "SAPIENSTONE," a material for kitchen tops that combines outstanding functionality and beauty. You can observe the textures and colors on a large MTG table and expand your imagination on how they will look in an actual space.

■ From Osaka to Gifu/Sekigahara. As a "gateway" to deepen the exploration of stone
The greatest role of this showroom is to become an "entrance" guiding you to the profound world of stone. We will guide customers who have been captivated by the charm of stone on the 2nd floor and drawn up specific concepts on the 3rd floor to our Gifu/Sekigahara headquarters, which boasts one of the largest scales in Japan. By having you directly visit the overwhelmingly scaled "KISEKI Stone Gallery" and the dynamic "factory" where stones change their shape, we will function as a starting point to further deepen your understanding and attachment to stone and ensure the creation of your ideal space.
