To bring classical music closer to the public, Nerima Ward has hosted the "Summer Concert" annually since 2018. The ninth edition will take audiences on a musical cruise reminiscent of gently rocking waves in Northern Europe, traveling from port to port through pieces connected to various regions.
The performers are renowned Japanese violinist Yasuko Ohtani (Yasuko Ohtani), conductor Sachio Fujioka (Sachio Fujioka), and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
This concert also aims to introduce the charm of classical music to those who rarely have the opportunity to experience it. As part of this initiative, participants from local disability support facilities will be invited to attend the day’s rehearsal.
