On 115/6/30, our contract manufacturing facility, 'Zhonglian Oils Co., Ltd.', notified us of a recall. It was discovered that benzo(a)pyrene (BaP) levels in a portion of salad oil (Batch No.: 0409315) supplied to us did not meet regulatory standards.
6. Response Measures:
1. Upon receiving the notification from the contract manufacturer, all finished products from this batch were immediately halted from shipment. We promptly initiated an investigation into the product distribution channels and commenced product removal and recall operations. On June 30, 115, we completed the reporting process to the relevant regulatory authorities.
2. This is an isolated incident involving an upstream supplier. To strictly adhere to high food safety standards, we have immediately implemented rigorous self-imposed enhanced management protocols. Products will only be released after thorough quality verification confirms compliance with all regulatory standards, ensuring consumer rights are protected with the utmost rigor.
3. Following a comprehensive internal review, the company preliminarily estimates product losses and related follow-up costs at approximately NT$90 million. Going forward, we will uphold our corporate rights in accordance with the law, based on the investigation findings and determination of liability.
