The Urban Renaissance Agency (UR) will conduct the 'Kimochi, Atsumaru Project 2026,' a study tour for students nationwide to visit the nuclear disaster-affected Hamadori region of Fukushima Prefecture and learn about its reconstruction. This year's theme is 'Feel, Think, Engage, and Revisit,' encouraging students to understand the community through dialogue and work throughout the year to realize a project for the area. The tour runs from August 19-22, after which students will develop plans with residents, present them in December, and implement them in February of the following year. This initiative is part of UR's 'soft support' to create and expand an engaged and related population for the region.
