NPO TGP (Representative Director: Riko Higashio), which aims to create a society where everyone can learn about menstruation and sexuality and live without anxiety, reported the achievements of its '4for1' project on May 28, 'World Menstrual Hygiene Day.' In Japanese schools, 'period poverty' is a reality, with children missing school due to a lack of menstrual products or fear of leakage. A culture of hiding menstruation as something shameful also persists. The '4for1' project links corporate restroom usage to school support: for every four menstrual products used in corporate restrooms, one napkin and menstrual education are delivered to schools. To date, the project has donated 537,846 napkins to 69 schools nationwide and provided menstrual education to 12,565 students. Representative Director Riko Higashio stated, 'Menstruation is a natural part of life. We provide not only free products but also menstrual education to help children protect their bodies. Improving corporate restroom environments directly supports children.'
