The support environment for pregnant and postpartum women has changed significantly in recent years.
While the range of support providers encountering pregnant women in difficult situations is expanding due to changes in legal systems such as the revision of the Child Welfare Act, voices from the field such as "I don't know how to respond" are being heard. Our support site at Piccolare is also in a phase of trial and error.
The 2026 Support Provider Training Program "Consultation Desk Skills Course" aims to improve skills in consultation desk response through practical group work such as role-playing and discussions based on actual cases.

About Piccolare
Certified NPO Piccolare aims to realize a society where everyone can live freely and happily without isolation, triggered by pregnancy. We are engaged in four business areas.
Through our Pregnancy Conflict Support Services (Ninshin SOS Tokyo/Ninshin SOS Saitama/Ninshin SOS Chiba), we provide support 365 days a year via email, chat, and phone with the mission of being there for all "troubles and concerns" related to pregnancy.
We also hold training programs aimed at nurturing support staff and produce and publish the "Pregnancy Conflict White Paper" (April 2021) as awareness activities to widely communicate the issues seen from consultation desks to society.
Since fiscal year 2020, we have also started operating "Pisara" ( a facility in Toshima Ward), the first "HOME" in our "project HOME" initiative to create spaces for homeless pregnant women. We are also focusing on creating spaces such as "Picosato" for Pisara graduates, "Pico Cafe" as a third place centered on SRHR, "Pico's Health Room" to deliver comprehensive sex education to junior high and high school students, "Mahalo" for single mothers in the community, and "AINA" for all users connected to Piccolare.
