Service Grant, a certified non-profit organization known as a pioneer in pro bono coordination in Japan, has begun recruiting companies for its 'Pro Bono League 2026,' a cross-boundary learning program focused on solving social issues.
With rising interest in human capital management, proactive employee development, and collaborative experiences, 'cross-boundary learning' has gained traction. This methodology involves stepping outside one's organization or industry to gain new insights through practical experiences.
The Pro Bono League organizes corporate professionals into interdisciplinary teams to tackle real-world management and business challenges faced by NPOs and local organizations. Participants cultivate co-creation skills, agency, and autonomous action, bringing these lessons back to their home organizations.
For 2026, Service Grant has introduced 'Pro Bono League Light,' a 3-week experiential program for companies new to pro bono work. This provides a more accessible entry point alongside the traditional 1.5-month program, encouraging initial steps into cross-boundary learning.
