Bringing Japanese Series Drama Projects to the World: "Japan Drama First Look: Co-Pro Pitch" Overseas Pitching Support Program Launched – Briefing Session for BCWW (Korea) Program to be Held on May 21

The Visual Industry Promotion Organization (VIPO, Chairman: Takanori Matsutani, Location: Chuo-ku, Tokyo), as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' FY2026 project "Survey on Diversification of Funding for Live-Action Content," is launching "Japan Drama First Look: Co-Pro Pitch," an overseas pitching support program for series drama projects. This program aims to diversify international co-production with overseas broadcasters and distributors, and to diversify funding for production costs.

This program will provide opportunities to pitch Japanese series drama projects at three leading international content markets in Asia and Europe: BCWW (Korea), TCCF (Taiwan), and Series Mania (France), along with training for these pitches.

As the first phase of this program, a briefing session for project proposals targeting "BCWW (Broadcast World Wide)" (to be held from September 14-16, 2026) in Seoul, Korea, the largest broadcasting and video content market in Asia, will be held online via ZOOM from 14:00 on Thursday, May 21.

Producers, directors, and others from domestic program production companies and broadcasters who are interested in Japan-Korea series drama co-production are encouraged to participate.
