New Item 'Happy Alien' Launches from equalto, a Brand Supporting Disabled Artisans Through Design

The brand 'equalto' (Ikutoru), which supports the creative work of people with disabilities through design, will begin selling its new keychain item 'Happy Alien' on Thursday, June 18, 2026.

Equalto was created with the mission of 'supporting the creative work of people with disabilities through design,' aiming to build a society where everyone can work vibrantly, express their individuality, and achieve economic independence. The brand emerged from a collaborative social contribution initiative by Accenture Japan, a comprehensive consulting firm; Decent Work Lab, an NPO specializing in employment support for people with disabilities; and Ash Concept Inc., a design consulting company.

The newly launched 'Happy Alien' is a uniquely handcrafted keychain, with each piece individually made by hand. Manufactured by NPO Aozora's 'AOLA' in Toshima City, Tokyo, the product utilizes paracord—a durable rope commonly used in outdoor gear—transforming traditional handcrafting skills into an original equalto design.

Each 'Happy Alien' is a one-of-a-kind item, with variations in arm length, leg length, and color combinations. Crafted by carefully knotting layers of paracord and attaching eye components, the creation process involves meticulous handwork. By pulling the eyes or limbs, users can adjust their length, allowing for personalized interaction and enjoyment.
