NPO Unleash (Representative: Yuka Kanazawa) will expand its project 'CareCareer: I am a Parent, I am Myself', aimed at supporting the employment of families raising children with medical care needs and disabilities, nationwide starting in 2026.
To build a sustainable operational foundation for this project, we have started recruiting 50 continuous donors, known as 'Partners'.

🔳 The Social Issue of 'Wanting to Work But Being Unable To'
Life with medical care involves 24-hour tension. Daily care, preparing for sudden changes, hospital visits, and constant attendance.
As a result, many families are forced to 'leave their jobs', losing their connection to society.
Want to work, but cannot.
Even if able to work, cannot continue.
Careers are interrupted, increasing anxiety about the future.
Furthermore, the full-time employment rate for mothers raising children with disabilities is said to be about 5%, a stark disparity compared to general child-rearing households (about 34%).
This situation creates not only financial hardship but also a decline in self-esteem and isolation, spreading a sense of resignation in society that 'it's impossible anyway'.
🔳 Project Overview
For the past seven years, Unleash has been working to eliminate isolation and create social connections through information provision and peer support for families of children requiring medical care.
Since fiscal year 2024, as a business commissioned by local governments, we have implemented a Parent Mentor project that closely attends to the employment and childcare concerns of families of individuals with medical care needs, providing consultation support to over 60 people annually.
Built upon these achievements is 'CareCareer'.
This project is a challenge to expand the 'peer support system' nationwide. By building a structure where the experiences of the affected individuals are utilized as a 'job', through:
- Online employment consultation
- Nationwide expansion of the peer support system
- Accompaniment support to balance employment and childcare
We aim to realize 'a society where working while shouldering caregiving can be chosen as a matter of course'.

🔳 Towards Unleash Chapter 2: Expanding the Model Case Nationwide
For our 5th-anniversary project, Unleash set the goal of 'turning a system where affected people support affected people into a job'.
After two years of effort, we have grown to the point where more than 10 affected family members are now involved in our organization's activities as a 'job'.
This project is positioned as 'Chapter 2' to spread this initiative nationwide.
🔳 Addressing the Issue of 'Care' That Affects Everyone
The issue of 'balancing care and work' faced by families with children requiring medical care is a common theme for everyone who will face nursing care and illness in the future.
The 'CareCareer' proposed by Unleash redefines care as a 'value' rather than a 'constraint', presenting it to society as a new model of working.

🔳 About Recruiting Continuous Donation Partners
This business was launched in 2026 with a grant sponsored by Kao Corporation.
To ensure this project does not end as a one-time event and continues to be delivered nationwide, a stable financial foundation is necessary.
Unleash is seeking 50 'Partners', supporters through monthly donations.
Donations will be used for the operation of the consultation business, human resource development, and strengthening information dissemination, supporting the realization of 'a society where you do not have to give up'.
We offer the following benefits to everyone who makes a donation.
