Enoshima Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, President: Satoshi Kuroda, hereinafter "Enoshima Electric Railway") will participate in the "Enoshima Lantern" event, organized by the Shonan Fujisawa Revitalization Consortium (Chairman: Masayuki Futami), again this year.
Now in its 19th year, "Enoshima Lantern" will be held for approximately one and a half months from Saturday, August 1st to Wednesday, September 23rd (holiday). The event will feature a "picture scroll of light" staged at various locations on Enoshima island, inspired by the legend of the origin of Enoshima, "Enoshima Engi" (the legend of the celestial maiden and the five-headed dragon).
At the Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden, managed by our company, a giant lantern approximately 5 meters high, "Sky Lantern," will appear with the theme "Light Illuminating the Sky." Furthermore, at "Enoshima Escar Section 1," visitors will be invited into a fantastical world of light through this limited-time illumination.
During the event period, those who enter the Enoshima Samuel Cocking Garden wearing a yukata or jinbei after 5:00 PM will receive an original Enoshima Lantern tenugui towel (※).
