Kaito Onuki, Representing Yokosuka City, Wins Silver Medal at Parkour World Cup in Montpellier!

Kaito Onuki, an athlete representing Yokosuka City, won the silver medal in the Men's Freestyle category at the FIG Parkour World Cup Series 2026 Round 1, "Parkour World Cup Montpellier," held in France from May 15th (Fri) to May 17th (Sun), 2026. Onuki participated in the event as a member of the Japan national team sent by the Japan Gymnastics Association. He qualified for the finals in 6th place on May 15th (Fri) and achieved a stunning comeback in the finals on the following day, May 16th (Sat), to finish in 2nd place. This year, Onuki announced that he had moved his base of activities to Yokosuka City and would be competing as an "athlete representing Yokosuka City." This tournament marked his first international competition since that announcement. He plans to visit the Yokosuka City Office in the near future to report on the tournament results to the mayor.
