EQUUS (Equus), a culture brand centered on equestrian culture operated by Company Y, announces a collaborative item with Lugal, Japan's representative sprint racehorse scheduled to compete in the G1 (Grade One) race 'Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes' (turf, straight 1200m) at Ascot Racecourse in the UK on June 20, 2026.

Royal Ascot is known as a horse racing festival associated with the British Royal Family and is cherished as one of the UK's foremost traditional events, symbolizing not only horse racing but also equestrian and social culture.

This special project features a limited commemorative collaboration T-shirt that incorporates the classic 'British Green' into the logo type and English messaging, inspired by the prestige of Ascot, a symbol of British horse racing, and the story of Lugal, a Japanese sprinter challenging the world stage.

This item was created as a special project to support Lugal's challenge at the UK G1 race and has been presented in a special edition to the Lugal team, including jockey Katsuhide Samejima, trainer Haruki Sugiyama, owner Yusho Ema, and staff from the breeding farm.

The design fuses the tradition and dignity cultivated at Ascot with EQUUS's philosophy of 'Effortless Luxury'—a natural sense of sophistication expressed through apparel. The result is a piece that honors equestrian culture while connecting it to modern lifestyles, appealing not only to racing fans but also to those who appreciate refined fashion.

'British Green,' evocative of British equestrian culture, is used in the logo and English messages:

Run Fast,

Stay Cool,

Rule the Royal Turf.

Like the wind.

Stay calm.

Rule the royal turf.

The word 'Royal' pays homage to both the prestigious stage of Royal Ascot and the horse's name 'LUGAL,' meaning 'King' in Sumerian.

Additionally, this item marks the first release in EQUUS's upcoming apparel line. Moving forward, EQUUS will continue to propose new cultures connecting horses and people through apparel and other products.

EQUUS views horses not merely as subjects of competition or observation, but as entities that enrich human learning, culture, and lifestyle. Through this project, EQUUS honors the brilliance of racehorses during their active careers and aims to foster a sustainable relationship between humans and horses by envisioning a future where retired horses continue to thrive in new roles.

The collaborative item will be available in limited quantities from summer 2026 via the EQUUS online store. Details on release timing and availability will be announced sequentially through EQUUS's official Instagram and other channels.
